Embrace sustainability, education, and fun in Albany!

Green Fair on the Square is set to return on 19 October, offering the community an opportunity to reconnect with eco-friendly traditions through this year’s theme, ‘Festival of Forgotten Skills.’

Running from 9am to 1pm in Albany Town Square, the event promises a blend of nostalgia and practicality, featuring hands-on learning experiences suitable for all ages.

Participants can explore home composting, learn how to use cloth nappies, master the essential skill of sewing on a button, and even try their hand at goat milking.

These workshops aim to equip attendees with practical knowledge to reduce waste and live more sustainably, reviving essential but often overlooked skills that are key to sustainable living.

The festival will also include a Country Women’s Association cake stall, nature craft activities, and musical entertainment from Just Fiddling.

As part of Albany’s commitment to sustainable transport, festivalgoers who cycle to the event will receive a free coffee voucher.

Don't miss the Eco Faeries!
